June Logics Lesson – Planner

Logics Lessons

End of the school year event using Planner

Many end of school year events happen in June. They can include field trips, graduations, school dance, picnics, and virtual events.

In this lesson, you will be using Planner to organize an event before the end of the school year. You will have to think of all the tasks and sub-tasks that need to be performed to make the event happen. Then you will need to think of who is the best person to perform each task. You will have to set
reasonable deadlines keeping in mind that some tasks need to be performed before other tasks (e.g., we need to know where we are going on our field trip before book a bus, we need to know how many people will be attending our virtual event before choosing an online platform).

Learning Objectives

  • Use Planner to plan all the steps of an event happening before the end of the school year.
  • Assign tasks to peers.
  • Track the progression of the project.
  • Sort and prioritize tasks, and set deadlines
